And so the Pirates are looking to bounce back from yet another ugly loss, with yesterday's being so bad that it got Tom Gorzelanny demoted to AAA Indianapolis in it's aftermath. The Brewers have been streaking for a while now and with a win, they'll probably move into a tie with the Cardinals for the NL Wild Card lead (the Cards are losing late 4-2 to the Cubs right now). ... are supposed to return this week, but Gorzo has won 6 games. I know that's clearly misleading, but he has pitched well occasionally, and given us a chance to win almost half the time he's gone out there. No, that's not acceptable, but would you rather see JVB in his stead? I wouldn't. Taubenheim is the other option, but he got pounded IN TRIPLE A the other day and JVB is still on the roster. ------ This stinks. ------ One more thought on why losing today really bothers me [from WHYGAVS]: The one aspect of this year's Pirate team that I enjoy is that ...
