It is, of course, garbage, but I couldn't shake the fact that I'd heard the name "Mark Kriegel" before, even though I don't ever recall reading his articles over there. It seems like Derek Lowe has become our #1 target and that they are ready to make a strong push for the veteran righty. What's not to like; he's thrived in both the rotation and the bullpen, is durable and remains healthy while being a big game pitcher with experience in the tough baseball Mecca of the east coast. Some look to his age as a deterrent but due to years in the pen he has relatively fewer innings on his arm then most 35 y/o starters and his mechanics don't make him susceptible to injury...... ...
