Cheer On The Phils Tuesday Night
Phillies Nation —
A quick link on this Saturday.
My friends over at We Should Be GM’s have a novel idea for when the Phillies return to Citizens Bank Park Tuesday night:
They want you to cheer. They’re calling it “Campaign Cheer.” From their site:
WSBGM’s would like to establish Campaign Cheer to be unleashed upon Citizens Bank Park Tuesday August 19th at 7:05 pm. What we propose is a blind positivity so strong that it reverberates throughout the stadium from the time the Phillies take the field for the ...

Philly fans trying to keep things positive
Stanley Cup of Chowder —
... Philadelphia sports fans have developed a bit of a reputation for being negative. We have all heard the stories about Philly fans booing Santa and throwing batteries and snowballs. Well, now some Phillies fans are trying to get rid of all the negativity swirling around Citizens Bank Park. Carson and Corey over at We Should Be GM's have started an effort they are calling Campaign Cheer.
WSBGM’s: Campaign Cheer
BBTF's Baseball Primer Newsblog —
WSBGM’s: Campaign Cheer WSBGM’s would like to establish Campaign Cheer to be unleashed upon Citizens Bank Park Tuesday August 19th at 7:05 pm. What we propose is a blind positivity so strong that it reverberates throughout the stadium from the time the Phillies take the field for the first pitch, until the last player walks off into the clubhouse. Everything must be cheered. Blogs Crashburn Alley and Hugging Harold Reynolds are proud supporters of Campaign Cheer and fliers will be handed out and signs will be made for Tuesday’s game.

... Instead of continuing the tired debate of whether people should be offended by Jimmy Rollins’ dumb comments, Carson at “We Should Be GM’s” has come up with a hysterical solution: Cheer Everything:
An error by the 1st basemen- yeah! A pop-up on the 1st pitch of the at bat by our shortstop- alright! An inning ending double play with the bases loaded and no runs scored- la de frickin’ da! Jimmy Rollins doesn’t like boos, he wants to feel like we’re rooting for him, so let’s cheer our asses off for ...
