Can Kim Ng break the gender barrier?
Can Kim Ng break the gender barrier?
Kim Ng of the Dodgers is the only female close to becoming a general manager. Will she get a shot? Will any woman?

Why not?  She cannot do any worse than some of the current GM's . . . . .

Never heard of her, but she's got as good a shot as anyone from the following organizations:

    Milwaukee Brewers
    Kansas City Royals
    Seattle Mariners
    Texas Rangers
    Baltimore Orioles

They've managed to suck for quite some time, so Kim would have no problem meeting (or exceeding) these regular losers.

Ng's been a valuable part of the Dodgers' front office and is one of the club's top negotiatators when it comes to salary arbitration cases.  I'd hate to see her go, but she certainly deserves a shot.  As for the Dodgers, I'm hoping they fire Ned and promote their other Asst GM, Logan White.
