Adam Vinatieri has lost his magic

... What followed was as amazing chain of events as ever seen in a football game. The spot was reviewed and correctly changed to be inches short of a first down; the Colts lined up to draw the Chargers offsides, or run more time off the clock, or both. They accomplished neither as they were called for a false stat on one of the oddest and worst calls I've ever seen. With that said, they lined up for an extra-point like 29-yard field goal only to have Vinatieri push it right and miss the game winning opportunity. After a few futile attempts to get the ball down field with 20 ...

... Can We Stop Pretending Adam Vinatieri Is a Good Kicker? He used to be, a few years ago, although even then he was overrated because he was on a good team that gave him lots of opportunities to kick in big games. But now he's not good. He's not average, either. He's bad. It's not just the fact that he missed two field goals in tonight's 23-21 loss to the Chargers, including a 29-yarder that would have given the Colts the lead with less than two minutes to play. ...

... are Peyton Manning and Adam Vinatieri, who combined forces to out-suck Norv Turner, the gold standard of sucking. Manning threw a franchise-record six interceptions in the Colts' 23-21 loss. Of course, Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark were out with injuries, but I didn't realize their substitutes were wearing Chargers jerseys. Vinatieri missed two field goals, including a chip-shot would-be game-winner with less than two minutes to play, cementing his status as past his prime and overpaid. The best part about this Colts' loss (other than ...

We’re not creative enough–and sufficiently dulled by a totally disheartening loss to the Falcons at home–to come up with a special name for this Dump. Of a life.

... defenses in football, McNair laid an egg at home. It got so bad that Kyle Boller made an apperance and even received applause from the crowd when he entered. This cant sit well with McNair whose days may be numbered as the starter. Want a disgusting stat? McNair has 2 td passes this year and 11 turnovers. Those are Joey Harrington-esque. 2. Adam Vinatieri How many 50 yard field goals has Vinatieri made in the last five years? ZERO! After missing a 42 yarder to give the Colts some momentum going into the half, ...
