Celtics Miss Early and Often in Game 4 Loss to Pistons
If the Celtics would have won this game, it would have to have been gift-wrapped by the Pistons in the 4th quarter. But there is no NBA team that is that generous at this time of year. Pistons defeated the Celtics to even the series with a 94-75 victory in Detroit, but the Celtics fought hard to keep this game from being more of a blow-out than it was.

The Pistons Beat Up the Celtics to Take Game 4 in Detroit
dimemag.com 5/27/2008 — So now it’s a best-of-three series in the East, after the Pistons won a brutally ugly, super-physical Game 4 last night over the Celtics, 94-75 … Chalk it up to the Pistons’ D, to the Celtics just not having it, or whatever, but Boston make a damn ...

Celtics Lose First Home Playoff Game
sportsofboston.com 5/23/2008 — The Celtics were at the wrong end of a close game in the place where they really did not want to lose: home. The Detroit Pistons handled the Celtics well and were able to hit all kinds of shots from all angles of the court to outscore the Celtics ...
Pistons Inbounds Play in 4th Quarter Helps Seal Win
coachingbetterbball.blogspot.com 5/23/2008 — I was only able to catch the second half of the game tonight between the Pistons and the Celtics but it was a great half that I watched. The Pistons had some rust in Game 1 but they were able to shake off that rust tonight, especially defensively. I ...

Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons: Game 2 Recap
greenbandwagon.com 5/23/2008 — That was a tough defeat as the Celtics lost home court advantage and were definitely in a position to pull a victory out. However, I was most disappointed in the lackluster defense and the way the Pistons beat the Celtics to loose balls at key ...
Can We Please Repeat The Effort?

Celtics Held Off - Series Tied
celticsblog.com 5/27/2008 — The Pistons got off to a great start and had us down by double digits for most of the game. Every time the Celtics came back to within 5 or 6 the Pistons had an answer and pushed the lead back up. They had us out of rhythm with their defense and the only thing keeping us in the game at times was our free throw shooting.

Pistons 94, Celtics 75: Instant AnalysisDime Magazine
Why the Pistons Won: In what was an ugly game, Detroit was just tougher. They made tough shots when they had too and their D was stifling for most of the game. They shot more than 48% from the floor, despite poor shooting nights from Chauncey and Tayshaun (both 3-12 for the game). Why the Celtics [...]
Pistons try to put Celtics on the ropesDetroit Bad Boys
First, in case you missed it: yes, Boston’s locker room was sweltering on Monday . Were the Pistons playing tricks on the visitors? Probably not … but I’m curious to see if the ghost of Red Auerbach turns off the Pistons’ hot water after the game. With a win tonight the Pistons will put the Celtics in an elimination game at the Palace in Game 6. That’s too good ...

Detroit Pistons 94, Boston Celtics 75 It's a pretty safe bet that most Pistons aren't going to enjoy me prattling on about the Boston Celtics in the wake of a game that saw the Pistons dominate the C's in just about every area imaginable save one, but it's worth taking a step back for a few seconds and wondering aloud, just how in the heck were the Celtics down just five points in this one ...

Celtics Wanted Game 3 More than the PistonsX’s & O’s of Basketball
A little slow on the take this morning being the weekend and all. It wasn't the prettiest of games last night between the Celtics and Pistons. More than strategy or even talent, what separated the 2 teams was simple, DESIRE. The Celtics wanted the win, more than the Pistons did. It showed up in the way the Celtics played defense, hustled for loose balls, and shared the ball. This play in the ...

The good news is the Boston Celtics have taken a 2-1 lead over the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals.  The better news is that we've finally won on the road, we've taken back home court advantage and we no longer have to hear how we've yet to win a road playoff game (which is a storyline that's become as annoying as "Mason" the Piston's announcer).
