... or shrug it off, whereas the rest of their world loses their mind? How do you know when you've reached a point that you've accepted Chad through the ups and downs of an eight-year marriage?
I'll tell you when.
When Chad holds onto a dollar bill to bribe the ref, after catching a 15-yard pass that was challenged and overturned, and you're actually disappointed that he didn't stuff the dollar bill in the ref's pocket. That's when.

Ochocinco tries to ‘bribe’ official
The Scores Report - The National Sports Blog —
From SHUTDOWN CORNER…
The impish Cincinnati Bengals receiver playfully tried to bribe an NFL official today during his team’s game with its division rival, the Baltimore Ravens. With the Cincinnati Bengals up 14-3 in the third quarter, Ochocinco caught a 15-yard Carson Palmer(notes) pass near the sideline. The side judge ruled it a catch, but the Ravens contended that Ochocinco’s foot was out of bounds. While the ref was under the hood looking at the replay, Ochocinco borrowed a dollar bill from an ...

But at the same time -- it's still okay to pretend to bribe the replay official. Just don't strike a pose while doing it. ...

... continue doubling Ocho's fee each time he slips up? That not likely the case, which is a shame, but I think I speak for all of us when I say I'd like to see how high he could go. I don't think a couple hundred grand is out of the question.
Not the Ocho would sweat the money. Millions in annual salary aside, Ocho has money coming in from a highly successful iPhone app. Though there's little doubt he'll find a way to get fined because of new media.
