... For you stat boys out there, recently pro-football-reference.com did a very detailed analysis as to whether the acquisition of Thomas Jones would make Chad Pennington a better quarterback. Also, attached to the article is a three-part statistical analysis to the question of “Running back deterioration: age or mileage?”, i.e. “if there’s still a lot of tread left on the tires” question that we’ve heard bandied about Jones.
