Sean Taylor: Keepin' it real in the afterlifeThree weeks ago, every NFL fan basically thought the NFC East was one of -- if not "the" -- toughest division in football. Not anymore. Granted, the Cowboys are the toast of the conference. It's their bunkmates that are draggin their reputation through the mud. A review ...
The Scene at Redskins Park
Published 11/27/2007 at ESPN.com - NFL Nation - Blog
As you might imagine, Redskins players, coaches and employees are in a state of shock as some of them gather at the team's practice facility this morning. Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post says the club will soon hang black draping atop the entrance to Redskins Park to honor the passing of safety Sean Taylor. A single bouquet of white roses is sitting at the entrance to the facility. Inside is a note letting players and staff know that the team chaplain and counselors are available to assist them. Like many of you, I was stunned to read this morning that Taylor had died. The ...
Not a Very Good Week for the NFL

Just this past Sunday night, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had to have been pretty pleased with how things were going for his league. The Patriots - Eagles game turned into a surprisingly competitive football game (Eagles were 24 point underdogs) and NBC earned a 15.6/24 overnight Nielsen rating for its “Sunday Night Football” broadcast, marking the best overnight in the two-year history of the "SNF" franchise, and also the best overnight for a game on the NFL's primetime broadcast package since a 15.8/24 for the Steelers-Colts "MNF" matchup on ABC in '05. The Patriots remain undefeated and even the casual fan will continue to follow ...
Sean Taylor: An Incomplete Life
Published 11/28/2007 by Eric McClung at The Jaunt
In a day when athletes typically made headlines for all the wrong reasons it was refreshing to see one of the "bad boys" begin to redeem themselves. Sean Taylor was one of those men. Sparked by the birth of his daughter Taylor began to change from the rebellious young man he was when he entered the league to a mature man and began to emerge as one of the best safeties in the NFL. In Taylor's rookie season of 2004 and sophomore campaign of 2005 he was accused of spitting on players on two separate occasions. Taylor skipped a a mandatory rookie symposium and held out of training camp the following ...
Sean Taylor Was Human, The MSM Wasn't Aware

(Pic ripped from the dominating BP at AA. Read his take on this as well.) I briefly mentioned my distaste for the mainstream media's handling of the Sean Taylor tragedy in my MMCNY post (its at the very bottom). Before I ever got a chance to follow up my comment, Will at Deadspin beat me to the punch. He's right on with the argument. Read and learn. I'm absolutely sick over the way the MSM is constantly bringing up every past wrong in Taylor's life, as if all his problems contributed to his death. Do we really need to be talking about his prior DUI, or his legal battles? Here's an excerpt from ESPN's ...
