Coaching change in Carolina?
Published 4/11/2008 by Fraser at The Hockey Herald
via Raleigh News & Observer:
In his state-of-the-team news conference Thursday afternoon, Carolina Hurricanes general manager Jim Rutherford made it clear he had not yet seriously considered whether to make a coaching change.
But Peter Laviolette’s future is clearly on the agenda, and one way or another, it figures to be a busy summer after the Canes missed the playoffs for the second straight season.
“I have enough information now to digest over the next couple of weeks and see what changes I may consider making,” ...

No ones gonna be fired. It's not Coach Lavvy's fault that the officials in the Hurricanes last game with the Capitals were totally working on the memo "Ovechkin in the playoffs. Make it happen."
Every game commentator I turned to listen to that night were up in arms about it. Joe Bennenotti and that weasel he works with, and some other dude on a channel on the Center Ice package, and that's in addition to John Foreskin and Tripp "stutter" Tracy on FSN South.
People get a grip and feel sorry for the Flyers. They are next to get f*cked over.
