Trying To Figure Out That Crazy Shaq-Suns Trade [Shaq Trade]
Published 2/6/2008 by Leitch at Deadspin
... Ignoring the fact that Shaq would seem the exactly wrong fit for the running Suns; Shaq is expensive and, more to the point. old. Suns blog The Bright Side Of The Sun says, "I can't imagine why the Suns wouldn't either take their best shot with the guys they have, or else try to find a better fit for the system. Change is good, but unless I'm seriously missing something, this change seems just plain nuts!." It's almost sad seeing a gregarious legend like Shaq considered such an albatross, but such are NBA contracts. ...
Intentional Upset: Shaq To Phoenix Makes No Sense

... In fact, the Shaq trade brings up more questions than answers. Can he keep up with their break-neck pace? Will he be healthy enough to even make the slightest difference? Of course, I’m not the only one who thinks this way. Over at Bright Side of the Sun, TexSUN relays a similar list of concerns: ...

... Those all look like Nellieball lineups. Both Biedrins and Ellis seem less vital than in current incarnations. Mullin has repeatedly seemed to indicate Biedrins will go nowhere; some murmured Andris as the tripping point in any Kevin Garnett (I don't buy this). At any rate, yanking Biedrins seems impossible. ... ... I think you see where I'm going with this. Likely? No. Possible? Yes.
Shaq - Hill: What Most Might Be Missing
Published 2/7/2008 by jasonsuns1 <info@brightsideofthesun.com> at Bright Side Of The Sun
[We've heard the voices of disapproval about the Shaq trade from both srp and myself. Time for a view from the other side. Thanks, jasonsuns1! -TexSUN] It's really simple, most Suns fans are upset with the Shaq trade. For one major reason above all else, Shaq's age and health. Very valid concerns, but what very few are really talking about are the miracles the Suns physical trainers have been working with Hill, Nash, Amare etc! Hill and Shaq are neighbors in Florida, it's pretty clear Hill has been enjoying playing for the first time in years without serious injury. Hill has said the things the Suns staff does is ...
Playing Ball: The Shaq Trade Aftermath
Published 2/8/2008 by TexSUN <info@brightsideofthesun.com> at Bright Side Of The Sun
After having a good two days to stew and rant about the Shaq trade, I think I've finally figured out why this news hit me like a ton of bricks dropped on an already-aching head. It isn't that I wanted the Suns to stay small-ball forever, and it isn't that I was adamantly opposed to trading Shawn Marion either, even though he has long been my favorite Sun not named Steve Nash. As I said in the wee hours of Wednesday morning ...
Q&A: Bright Side of the Sun

The Warriors and Suns square off at the Roaracle this Wednesday night. Sadly Shaq will most likely be sitting this one out (actually trust me- I'll get over it fast!). Wednesday night's game between the Warriors and Suns at the Roaracle should be a fun, fun ...
