Changes Coming To Locker Room Links6
The Wizards cruised to a 108-86 win over Seattle yesterday, but that didn't stop Coach Eddie Jordan from expressing some concerns afterward. "The bench has to get better," Jordan said. "Our last two games, I'm not pleased with our intensity, our concentration level, especially from our younger guys. Roger [Mason Jr.] has been pretty solid. Darius [Songaila], we've been waiting for him to ... [link]

The Wizards Want to Get Serious

... have been making silly videos just like this for the Wizards all season long. Sometimes they're entertaining, sometimes (like this one -- 10 minutes?!) they're a bit unbearable. The premise, though, is that they're just a couple of fun-loving rookies/roommates who tell (sometimes) entertaining stories about what it's like to be a member of those fun-loving Wizards. The only problem? The "fun-loving Wizards" are kind of getting tired of all this rookie silliness. From Ivan Carter of the Washington Post (via ...

Darius [Songaila], we’ve been waiting for him to get some more lively legs and [yesterday] was a good sign but the rest of our bench, our younger guys, they have to get better. Locker Room Evictions

... due to a sub-par effort, and was forced to dress in the media work room. Also, the Retrievers were prohibited from wearing apparel bearing their school's name. Do I even need to tell you what happened next? A team that has lost five of its previous seven games suddenly caught fire, winning two of its next seven. Anyhow, when I read that Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler were re-ordering the Wizards' locker room this week, well, I couldn't help but think that they could save the equipment managers a lot of time if they left the rookies in place and just removed their nameplates. ...

Gilbert Back on the Blogging Trail
Published 1/28/2008 by JakeTheSnake at Gilbertology
In his latest blog entry, Gilbert discusses the progress on his rehab: I walk with 50 percent and run with 30 percent. I can run two miles and not feel anything. I’m also doing shooting competitions, I can spot shoot. I’m not really supposed to run or jog or do anything like that full impact until Wednesday. That will be 10 weeks. Right now I’m just strengthening up the muscle because I don’t want to do what I did last time when the muscle was not strong enough. He shoots down the rumor that he and singer Mya are romantically involved: It is not true. I’m off the market and the Mya rumor is false. I know her through a ...

Blowing Up the Bucks?

Michael Hunt's latest column at the Journal-Sentinel neither pulls punches nor offers any real solutions, but that's pretty much where the Bucks find themselves at the moment. Last night's shorthanded win in Charlotte will help offset somewhat the 101-77 drubbing they took at the BC on Saturday courtesy of the Wizards, but overall the Bucks still find themselves in quite a hole at 13-20.
