Chargers To Release Eric Parker The North County Times is reporting that Eric Parker’s likely to be cut or traded by the team in the next 72 hours. The Chargers already have Buster Davis, Vincent Jackson, and Chris Chambers at wideout, although none of them really have the skillset Parker does. Davis would likely be the closest player, although he had an uneven rookie year. There are a lot of teams who would find it worthwhile to deal a late-round draft pick for Parker in lieu of waiting for him to be cut and running the risk of losing him. He's a good route runner and knows how to find the soft spot in a zone, but doesn't do anything particularly remarkable.
