Now, the story doesn't feel so good.
Clemson has pulled the scholarship of McElrathbey because they have more than enough players at running back.

You may remember McElrathbey gained national fame for taking custody of his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr in 2006, then received a rare waiver from the NCAA that allowed him to get assistance from the university and the public in taking care of his younger brother and still maintain his football eligibility. He is a true stand-up human being. And now he's getting the door from Clemson.

You may recall the heartwarming tale of Ray Ray McELrathbey, a Clemson reserve running back who was granted custody of his 11-year-old brother almost two years ago when his parents were unable to care for the youngster. Ray Ray had no car, but relied upon his friends to cart him and his brother around; his scholarship stipend helped provide food. Sad stuff.
