The Panthers will receive a visit from Seattle free agent wide receiver D.J. Hackett Friday, a league source said today. "His goal is to play for a playoff contender and he thinks the Panthers will be that with their quarterback (Jake Delhomme) healthy again," the source said. "And he really thinks Charlotte is a nice area." Hackett is visiting Washington today and will also visit Tampa Bay. ... [link]

... He did look good at the combine and that sub-4.3 unofficial 40 yd time (later revised to 4.37 officially) got him some looks. I also disagree that the Panthers will target a big receiver in the draft.
