Published 5/1/2007 by Ben Maller at Ben Maller's Sports Rumors & Notes
... The Charlotte Bobcats interviewed Paul Silas on Monday for their vacant head-coaching job. Silas, the last coach of the Hornets before they moved to New Orleans, met with Bernie Bickerstaff and Michael Jordan, part-owner who oversees basketball operations. While Silas and Bickerstaff, the Bobcats' general manager and outgoing coach, said the talks went well, neither provided details. "It was good, solid and honest," Bickerstaff said of the discussion. It was also far from over. Bickerstaff told the Observer he anticipates the Bobcats interviewing six to eight candidates. Whoever gets the job will inherit a team anticipating its first playoff appearance.
