Clipper Clippings - June 10, 2009
Clips Nation —
... allow that the Cavs could well be interested in a Clipper big like Kaman or Camby - but their main trade asset is Ben Wallace, and I don't see the Clippers doing a straight salary dump on Kaman, and obviously that would be pointless with Camby, who is more productive, less expensive and just as expire-y as big Ben.

Blake Griffin - The Rookie
Clips Nation —
I just came across this today, thanks to citizen Lawler's Law and his FanShot about the Blake Griffin ESPN chat. It's from an ESPN series called "The Rookie" - pretty fascinating. The video above is Griffin on the day of the lottery (and he certainly didn't seem disappointed when OKC was revealed at three, nor to have ended up with the Clippers). It appears there will be other videos, and there's a long story from Andy Katz about the San Francisco ...
No Surprise Here: Curry Outshines Chad Ford Fav Jrue Holiday in Workout
The Big Lead —
... Stephen Curry: Killed at a workout with the Knicks yesterday. Slaughtered, maimed, and outplayed - not surprisingly - UCLA’s Jrue Holiday. Now the question becomes whether or not he’s even around at 8 when the Knicks are picking. And before you bash Curry, consider this - Blake Griffin was asked in an ESPN chat who he thought the 2nd best player in the draft was. His response: Curry. We’re salivating at the thought of Curry having teammates above the mid-major level. ( ...

... guard, for sure. But he's smart, a very good passer and he'll make shots. I think he could man the point well enough, given that the Blazers seem to want Brandon Roy to have the ball in his hands all the time, anyway, and stretch the defense with his outside shooting.
The kid's got star quality. He might prove to be a whole lot better NBA player than people think, but the Blazers would likely have to move up pretty high to get him.
Still don't see it. Blake Griffin called Curry the second best player in the draft, ...
