... The Times is reporting that Chelsea are planning a revised bid for Crotia midfielder Luka Modric in the summer. The story says we launched a bid at the end of the January window, but were put off by Dynamo Zagreb’s £20 million evaluation. Much to my enjoyment, the Blues value him at less than half that. The Times also reports that Modric will be able to buy his way out of his contract in 12 months due to the “Webster” ruling. This could lead to Chelsea’s interest being much more attractive to Zagreb — but who knows. ...
