Pro Football Weekly reports Chris Simms is now the No. 3 QB in Tampa Bay, due to mechanical issues in the wake of his ruptured spleen. Worse still for Simms fans, Jon Gruden continues to try to coax Jake Plummer out of retirement to compete with Jeff Garcia and push Simms further down the depth chart.

jcdejongh Simms will be lucky to make the team this year, look for the Bucs to drop him if Plummer reports. The only reason they re-signed him was so that Gruden could blame the 2006 season on his injury.
