The Detroit News's Terry Foster wondered what a former Red Wing would have to say about the controversy surrounding Marian Hossa's decision to sign a one-year, $7.45 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings. ... the criticism continuing to ring out at Hossa for turning down $40 million in guaranteed money to be silly....
“When you play this game you want to be successful as a team and you want to be successful individually,” said Ciccarelli, who lives in Shelby Township. “He’s got the best of both worlds. I don’t know who would knock him. Why wouldn’t a player want to come here? How the hell can you knock the guy?”
