The delay of today’s game between the Mets and Pirates was caused by a break in the water main on 126th Street that serves Shea Stadium. It was a result of an excavation by construction workers who are building Citi Field next door. That the construction worker who ruptured the pipe was wearing a Jimmy Rollins jersey has not been confirmed.
