The Padres traded 1b Tony Clark to Arizona for Evan Scribner , a right handed relief pitcher.
Check the link above for a good report on Scribner (it’s to Paul DePodesta’s blog). In the minors so far he has posted this line : 91.3 inn, 3 hr, 24 bb, 123 k, 2.27 era.

... managing their own teams. However, we do ask that they leave a voicemail with some specifics if there is an opposing player they particularly like. That way we can make sure our scouts follow up with a more formal report as the season continues. In this case, Doug Dascenzo, our manager in Ft. Wayne, phoned in a report on Evan earlier this season which initiated our interest.
