I do not like the choice by CBS at all, wrote about it as well. So, while I wasn't a fan of Packer, I am not a fan of the solution.

Clark-Special-K-Kent-Kellogg, the man who " had a high school basketball career generally regarded as the finest in Cleveland history ," will now resonate as the VOTFF (Voice Of The Final Four). Let's bask in a little glory before we get to the naysayers: High School Clark 'Special K' Kellogg attended St.Joseph's High School in Cleveland, Ohio ... The highlight was a 79-65 loss in the state championship game to Columbus East that saw Kellogg score 51. This 51 point game is still an Ohio state finals record. You Won't Have Billy Packer to Kick Around Anymore
He's been  pushed aside after 34 Final Fours , in favor of Clark Kellogg. He's not going the Keith Jackson route and sticking around for Duke-Carolina games, instead going off on an unnamed "fun project." This really isn't the place for Packerschadenfreude, as I've always been fonder of the curmudgeon than most Carolina fans. As I once wrote: Eventually I'm going to get around to ...
