Born and Raised on the Cleveland Browns: Week 14

... Corey says: If you watched the post-game interviews on the Browns' website, you saw Braylon Edwards' oh-so-stylish locker room outfit. I believe the correct term is "pimpin'". Braylon had on a black suit with a black hat, a red and black tie, and a bright red opera scarf à la Al Capone. Maybe you just had to see it.Idiot of the WeekAlex says: Some people would say that you can't blame Willie Parker for his idiotic nickname, but I say you definitely can. Parker is indeed a fast runner, he may even be the fastest player in the NFL. But "Fast" is--without exception--a stupid nickname. Derek Anderson is tall, but no one calls him "Tall" Derek Anderson. Ted Washington is really fat, but no one calls him "Fat" Ted Washington. Joe Jurevicius is super white, but no one calls him "White" Joe Jurevicius. That "Fast" even got a foothold in Pittsburgh before catching on nationwide speaks to the general low intelligen ...

All of those things make the final score what it is. Crennel We just got beat by a better team today. I know it was preseason but we went out to Denver, and we beat Denver, and we were a pretty good team then. Now today, we re not a very good team. ... , and need their franchise running back more than ever.  Not only that, but my fantasy team took its 1st loss of the season last week and I need to bounce back. In his own ESPN column on Wednesday, Jax stated “I’m feeling great, and as long as there are no setbacks this week, I’m going to be on the field against the Browns .”  Well, maybe if you weren’t busy writing columns and doing commercials, you could get in a couple of extra reps on the practice field or a few extra massages from the trainer. These aren’t the same Browns from a year ago buddy.  They’re 3-3 and 1 game out of first in their division.  They got QB Derek Anderson and a prolific passing game with Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow.  So we and the Rams need your ass out there to control the clock and hurt these Browns.  Jax finished off his column with a “Best of luck to all of you and your fantasy teams, and I hope you all reap the fruits of my return to the field.” That’ ...

It was ugly, true, but good teams find a way to get it done and frankly, a win is a win. The Browns are on their way to a playoff appearance while the Bills, on their way home. Buffalo needed this win to stay in the playoff race. Unfortunately for them, the weather was just too much for them. As for my fantasy football league, thanks for nothing Derek Anderson.
