Browns quarterback Derek Anderson replaced an injured Tom Brady in the Pro Bowl, but he didn't exactly make anyone forget the Patriots' phenom. Playing the entire second half of the AFC's 42-30 loss to the NFC, Anderson struggled for most of it, completing 10 of 26 attempts for 103 yards with one interception. He was sacked twice and was stripped of the ball once, earning a dismal 34.6 ... [link]

Derek Anderson disappoints at Pro Bowl
Published 2/11/2008 by Michael Beckwith at Kid Cleveland
... In a game Anderson really wanted to play in badly, it turned out that Anderson ended up playing badly. Playing the entire second half, Anderson responded by only completing 10 of 26 passes for 103 yards and an interception. After scoring at will in the first half to a total of 27 first half points, the Anderson led AFC squad only managed a field goal in the second half. Wasn't he supposed to be the lone AFC quarterback who already knew this system? So much for that advantage… ...

Could Pro Bowl Hurt Derek Anderson?

Apparently the game doesn’t mean much to the rest of the world. Still after the stinker of a performance that Derek Anderson put together yesterday in Hawaii in place of Tom Brady, I have to wonder if it will hurt his restricted free agency status.

Why do we watch the Pro Bowl? It certainly isn’t riveting television. There is very little drama to the game. Fans of good defense have nothing to do for those 3 hours. So why watch?
