What an awful 1st half for Kansas and I know that the Jayhawks are trying to make me look like an idiot. Kansas' first 7 drives of the 1st half: punt, punt, punt, fumble, interception, punt, and end of half. I take back everything I said about the Jayhawks only have two losses heading into Missouri. The offense isn't the same as it was last year and neither is the defense. Good for ISU for ...

Baylor 38, Iowa State 10: Yeah, that Robert Griffin kid is pretty good. Even with his running game taken away -- he had -32 rushing yards, thanks to three sacks -- he only completed 21 of 24 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns. Iowa State crashed and burned in Waco only a week after nearly knocking off KU at home.

... Red Raiders defense simply could not get the Cornhuskers off the field. Nebraska ran 80 plays to Tech's 48, possessing the football for an astounding 40:12 to TTU's 19:48. And so it was that a regulation period featuring 3 punts and 0 turnovers wound up a box score oddity, with Nebraska scoring on each of its final three drives to get the game to overtime, which Tech sealed on an interception.

Nebraska’s loss to the ‘Clones in 2002 was the beginning of the end for Frank Solich and a setback suffered in Ames in early November 2004 virtually assured that Bill Callahan’s first season in Lincoln would be a losing one. ...

... a 23-2 scoring advantage in the second half. Next up for Texas Tech is a road tilt against Kansas, and if Harrell and Co. can avoid ceding turnovers to the opportunistic Jayhawks (their +21 TO margin last year was tops in the nation), they might just find themselves hosting the Longhorns next Saturday night with the inside track to the BCS Title Game on the line.

... for Colorado, they're as far behind the conference leaders as they have been since Hawkins arrived before the 2006 season. The offensive line--young and decimated by injuries--is getting slaughtered, a setback which ruins everything the Buffs want to do on offense. Defensively, they're still a couple years and strong recruiting classes away from being contenders.

Oklahoma State 59, Iowa State 17: The Pokes easily dispatched ISU with a showdown in Lubbock looming next weekend. The Cyclones could only manage 240 yards total offense, while Okie State rolled up more than that rushing the football. What really sucks is that last year we lost a heartbreaker on a last-second field goal to Okie State; this year, we're in ISU's neighborhood.

... Johnson's touchdown strikes of 32, 59, and 10 yards highlighted a 21-0 third quarter run by the Aggies, enough to propel the Agros to their second-straight conference win. With Oklahoma coming to town this Saturday, the winning streak likely ends at two, but the Fightin' Farmers need to stay sharp, their battle with Baylor for "fourth best team in Texas" looming a week later in Waco.

It's also a shame that anyone would take so little pride in their work that they wouldn't bother to inform themselves about the true situation before going on air and giving an opinion that is not only wrong, but stupid to boot.

... CU lead. Of course, the game wasn't quite over as Iowa State drove to the CU one-yard line before being stopped as time expired. Colorado moves to 5-5 with the win and has at least a decent shot at bowl eligibility with games remaining against Oklahoma State and at Nebraska. The woe continues for Iowa State, as the Clones drop to 2-8 with the loss, and are still searching for their first conference victory of the season.

Hi guys this is James here.Derick catlett showed flashes last year. Brought in as a pass-catching tight end, it's arguable that he made his hay last year as a blocker out of the backfield. He's pretty good at catching the ball, but it's safe to say that is the better receiving threat. Franklin gives ISU the ability to try out the occasional two tight-end set, and he will be a guy to follow this year. It's a little disappointing thus far that he hasn't really showed up in practice reports, but tight ends coach Scott Fountain has gone so far to say that if he was as experienced as Catlett is, he'd be the better player.
