The LoHud Yankee Blog, via Baseball Musings: "In what was a bad day for the Scott Boras Corporation, Alex Rodriguez went to the Yankees directly and apparently has all but finalized a 10-year, $275 million deal." If it's the Yankees and "only" $275MM, I take back everything I said yesterday. I'd make that deal in a second if I was Cashman. Update: SI's Heyman is reporting the same thing.

Report: A-Rod About to Finalize 10-Year, $275 Million Deal With Yankees

Well, this was sure fast. After Alex Rodriguez announced today he was opening up talks with the Yankees, it looks like a deal is all but locked up. According to Peter Abraham of the LoHud Yankees Blog, A-Rod is set to re-up with the Yankees to the tune of $275 million for 10 years. (Not quite the $350 million Scott Boras was hoping for, huh?)
