Closing Out This Bissinger Business [Costas Now]
We really don't want to get into this too much more today, because yesterday was exhausting enough (and we weren't even working!). But we will say this: We were, bizarrely, on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" yesterday, and not only was the level of discourse pitched higher than on "Costas Now," but, in fact, we walked away wondering if John Calipari weren't a better journalist than Buzz ... For Your Edification... Buzz Bissinger Looks Like an Evil Ben Franklin
Published 5/1/2008 at JoeSportsFan.com
... That not withstanding, Leitch appeared last night in a follow-up on The Best Damn Sports Show Period.  Now, far be it for us to dish out applause to the show which we've mocked time and again around these parts, but it was a much more fair and informative discussion.  Check out Leitch's last thoughts on the subject as well as the video right here. ...

High Five

A quick look around the interweb while apologizing for the second straight short day. While I'm feeling considerably better today, I've been completely out of the loop on things the last few days, and I'm in the process of getting caught up. Expect a full day of hack writing tomorrow. Will's final take on the whole Buzz Bissinger thing, which I haven't actually watched yet, but plan on doing sometime today. It's part of that whole catching up thing I was telling you about. As for my feelings, well, I’ve been in this industry (the Internet, not sports blogging) for a little while now and the only thing I can say is people like Buzz Bissinger and Bob ...

... I wasn't going to write anything about Buzz Bissinger and his petulant, sanctimonious, and ill-informed rage. Not that I didn't care, far from it in fact; it actually ruined my day yesterday. Being told, even indirectly, "you suck" for the millionth time, by someone who in some sense you respect, even admire, and in any case has ultimate scoreboard over you, isn't very fun, although sadly, I've had plenty of time to get used to this sort of thing. ...

Breakdown Memphis Dribble Drive Offense with Derrick Rose

Memphis “Dribble Drive” Motion Offense The Memphis Style “Dribble Motion” Offense was described by Head Basketball Coach John Calipari as the “Princeton Offense” on steroids.
