Hutch notes in the Star-Ledger that he has a take on what he thinks happened between the Jets and Laveranues. … Coles and the organization were nearing a compromise that would result in the veteran reporting this week. It’s unclear what type of agreement was reached, but it is believed Coles was assured he would receive a long-term deal next season if he remained healthy, or he would be allowed to seek a trade on his own. Maybe there's a happy ending to this after all. Disgruntled wide out Laveranues Coles arrived at the Jets' voluntary offseason conditioning program Tuesday after a week long absence.  Word on the street is that the two sides are working toward a new agreement.  What that means is anyone's guess, but it's rumored that LC was promised he would receive a long-term deal next year if he stayed healthy this upcoming season.  That sounds ridiculous if you ask me.  Coles shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone in the locker room or the front office.  But if that's what got him to report, then I'm all for it.  The other theory has ...
