As noted earlier today, USA Today has a fabulous package in today’s paper/ on the website detailing the salaries for college football coaches — head coaches and assistants. Here are the annual salaries (including bonuses) for nine of the the Pac-10 head coaches, according to the paper. I’ve compiled the rankings, and the comments are mine: 1. Pete Carroll: $4,386,652 Given the Trojans’ success/revenue, I’d argue he’s underpaid relative to the coaches immediately below him on this list. 2. Tennessee ranked No. 1 in assistant salaries, ahead of Texas, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Florida State and Missouri. As for head coaching salaries, Nick Saban was rated fourth behind Pete Carroll of Southern Cal, Bob Stoops of Oklahoma and Urban Meyer at Florida.
