College Hoops: Psycho T, Tyler Hansbrough is player of the year

Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina's big man, is looking to take UNC back to title town.
No one works harder or plays tougher then the Carolina junior, or psycho T as he's often called, and this year has been no exception. He's always been know as a good player, but the work he put in during the off season has really paid off.
In Hansbrough's first two seasons he averaged just over 18 points per game and almost eight rebounds, but his junior year, he's taken his game to a new level. He's been able to up his point totals by five and his rebounds by two.
And when starting point guard Ty Lawson went down with an ankle injury, Hansbrough was at his best, literally putting the team on his back as Carolina went 5-1 during that stretch. That one loss being to archrival Duke.
But what makes him the best player in the country is that he knows he's going to take a beating in the lane and get the to free throw line, where he's shooting over 80%, but he has worked on his perimeter game, which has helped contribute to his points per game average.
However, the next five weeks will make or break his season, as he's driven by success. His job is not to be the top scorer or top rebounder, but to win games. But what's most interesting, is that everyone in the gym knows Hansbrough is getting the ball...they just can't stop him.
Up next for psycho T and the Tarheels is Duke in Durham.
