Linebacker Rosevelt Colvin has signed a one-year deal to return to the New England Patriots, according to league sources quoted by The Boston Globe . Colvin, a Patriot from 2003 to 2007, was released by the team before the start of the season. He was signed by the Houston Texans but then cut before the start of the regular season. Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe reports that the Patriots have re-signed linebacker Rosevelt Colvin to a deal for the balance of the season. Colvin was released by the Pats in the offseason, and he then signed with the Texans. Houston cut Colvin after training camp. He fills the roster spot created when cornerback Jason Webster was placed on injured reserve. Reiss reports that the Patriots also have been in touch recently with linebacker Victor Hobson, who also has not yet played this season.

The Patriots signed former Patriot Roosevelt Colvin to a 1 year deal. This comes after Pierre Woods left Sunday's game. I'm not too overjoyed with this move because Colvin was cut by the Houston Texans, and nobody signed him until week 13. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pissed, this is a good pickup.
