The jokester in Tommie Harris walked into the gym at Maryville Academy on Tuesday and proclaimed relief that a long contract negotiation was complete. After receiving the Ed Block Courage Award at a luncheon benefitting the Ed McCaskey Scholarship Fund, the frequent comedian put all kidding aside. [link]

Bears kicker Robbie Gould is in the last year of his contract and wants an extension . He has not been around for the Bears offseason program. I like Gould and we have won a number of games because of him. It seemed one year he was pretty much our offense, but I don't like this method. Again, as long as he shows when it is mandatory I won't care, but here is the thing. The Bears have approached Gould and his agent about an extension.
