Revisiting my preseason prediction: 30 wins

With the Sixers sitting in the sixth position heading into the playoffs, I thought now would be a good time to revisit my preseason predictions. Actually, Celticsblog’s Jeff Clark thought now would be a good time for this and regular reader Mike Dervin didn’t remember my prediction of 30 wins. The year before with Iverson and Webber heading to camp in Spain, I predicted 47 wins. My tactic this year was to low ball the team and prevent any jinx. It looks like it worked. Expectations were low coming in to the season, but the Sixers promised to work hard. In the second half of the season, they emerged as the surprise team of the East. ...

Reviewing the Previewing

If you've been around since the beginning of the season, you might remember that Jeff from Celticsblog organized all the basketbloggers around to preview their favorite teams. Mine was pretty  damn silly, and even Joey from Straight Bangin' over-estimated. Thus, along with the rest of the NBA blogosphere, we were asked to look back and evaluate our season previews. Watch us come to terms with our over-optimism here. Oh well.

Before we get completely consumed by the NBA Playoffs, just gonna pause a second to look back at the predictions I made for the Hornets at the beginning of the season. As you may know, all us bloggers get together at a super-secret virtual location in October and preview the teams we know best.
