Yet another poor outing for Brewers closer Eric Gagne, except this time it didn’t come in the form of a blown save.
Instead, it was him not keeping the game tied today against the Cardinals, giving up a two-run single to Ryan Ludwick in the ninth to eventually lose the game.
Afterwards, he had some pretty strong, emotional words chronicled by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
”I don’t deserve that ninth inning right now. It’s very simple. It’s embarrassing.”
