The NY Times cites 3 current or former Yankees being called to congress, references the "steroid era," which Andy Pettitte was not involved in. I've said for quite some time the Yankees are out of touch with media and their public image and this heinous act is further proof. Media hysteria, some of which I've documented here, has won. Where is Paul Byrd, who would not deny injecting HGH up to and including his post season performances in 2007? This is not about steroids. It's about little George Mitchell. Congress is calling Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee to testify under oath on January 16th. Congress also wants Andy Pettitte, Chuck Knoblauch and Kirk Radomski to come testify to the Congressional Committe. Roger Clemens lawyer said this in a statement: “Roger is willing to answer questions, including those posed to him while under oath. We hope to determine shortly if schedules and other commitments can accommodate the committee on that date.” Reading between the lines on that statement almost means that Roger Clemens is sure not to attend.
