October 26, 2009, 9:26PM The CBC's Elliotte Friedman reports that the Red Wings have officially stayed the course despite their 3-4-1-and-1 start and the loss of Johan Franzen to a torn ACL: October 26, CBC Sports : A GM who called the Red Wings about a trade was told no thanks. “They’re going to let their young players learn the hard way this season. No panic deals for them.”Also of note regarding the NHLPA: Word is that Mike Richter is seriously interested in replacing Glenn Healy at the NHLPA.
