Good Morning Mike Pelfrey (Mets) Fans!
Published 7/26/2008 at Mets Merized Online - A Mets Blog For Real Mets Fans!
Oh the kid is hot, sizzling, en fuego, absolutely smoking! Big Pelf won his 7th consecutive decision in 8 starts and led the Mets to their 10th win in his last 11 starts. In those 11 starts his ERA is a sparkling 2.57. Mike Pelfrey is a star. "He's a completely different pitcher than he was Opening Day," catcher Brian Schneider said. "I think my command is a lot better than in the past," Pelfrey said. "I think I had some success and a lot of confidence came with that." "The biggest thing is confidence. I'm out on the mound and I don't feel like I have to be perfect," Pelfrey said. "I believe in ...

50 Games to Freedom
Published 8/6/2008 at Mets Merized Online - A Mets Blog For Real Mets Fans!
Here we stand, 50 games left in the Mets regular season, and I believe things are looking up. "What? Send him to a loony bin! The guy is shaking like a crack junkie! He's crazier than a Yankee fan wearing a Carl Pavano is the Savior jersey!" Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know...we're injured, the bullpen is off, Church isn't back, etc, etc. So why all this great hope? Easy--the schedule. Yes, the schedule is our friend. Thanks to the good folks at Coolstandings we can see just what's left for us, the Phils, and the Marlins. ...

Remaining Schedule and Chances to make it to post season
Published 8/7/2008 by Dom DiFucci (noreply@blogger.com) at Dom D's Mets Fan Blog
The Mets have been a up and down team all year, many of this has to do with all the injuries they had to deal with and the lack of depth on the roster. They have not played well against teams under .500. They will have to better against these teams to get in the post season.. ...

Good Morning Johan Santana (Mets) Fans!
Published 8/18/2008 at Mets Merized Online - A Mets Blog For Real Mets Fans!
From NY Sports Dog: It was the best of times, it was the best of times. Johan Santana, the Ace, took the mound yesterday with a singular purpose--to get a win. The fact that he accomplished his mission in such an utterly dominant fashion was not in the least bit surprising. The results, a 3-hit shutout ...

The Mets Lost, But......
Published 9/21/2008 by dave.singer@gmail.com (NY Sports Dog Dave) at NY Sports Dog
[image] Their playoff chances actually increased thanks to the Brewers and their continuing misfortunes. According to my good friends at Coolstandings , the Mets now have an 86.8% chance of making the playoffs. A win tomorrow will put that number over 90%.
