Corey Brewer embarasses himself in the season finale
Hail Mary Jane — Check out this blooper by Corey Brewer. I’m sure this isn’t how Corey Brewer envisioned ending his Rookie campaign but hey, shit happens. This was the funniest play I seen this year. Its going to be in numerous bloopers in the future. Poor Corey Brewer…I hope it doesnt ruin his self-confidence. Tags: corey brewer, blooper, season finale, rookie campaign

Corey Brewer Ends His Rookie Season With An Emphatic Du ... Oops
FanIQ Blog — Corey Brewer has had a strong rookie season. This dunk attemp last night was not strong. Terribly weak, in fact.

Worst of the Night: April 16, 2008
Basketbawful — "Detroit " versus "Cleveland": I know it's the end of the season and the games are meaningless and the coaches need to rest their starters. But Arron Afflalo versus Wally Sczcerbiak was not what the schedule makers had in mind when they arranged for these two teams to meet on the last night of the regular season. Not only were fans forced to watch the scrubs duke it out, they were treated to a total brickfest, with the "Pistons" shooting 38 percent and the "Cavaliers" scoring only 74 points on 32 percent shooting. Damon Jones: The self-proclaimed "best shooter in the world" shot 1-for-12, and ...

Assorted Terrible Plays For No Real Reason
ShamSports.com: NBA News That Doesn't Really Matter — This play is currently doing the rounds: It provides a somewhat fitting conclusion to the Timberwolves dire season, and particularly that of Corey Brewer, who fouled and clanked his way to a 5.8 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 2.4 FPG rookie season, on 38% shooting. All a bit shite, really. Still, for the hell of it, here are 5 other "Really Stupid Plays", in no particular order. 1: J.J. Redick in garbage time 2: David Wesley is garbage all the ...

2007-08 NBA Worsties: Part 6
Basketbawful — Okay, okay. I've been promising Part 6 of the 2007-08 Worsties for a few weeks now. It's time to deliver. This installment covers the end of the regular season leading into the playoffs. Creepy merchandising: The NBA marketing geniuses unveiled a series of mildly disturbing bobblepop dolls, the creepiest of which was, without question, the Steve Nash version (although the Dirk Nowitzki bobblepop came close). Poor "Nash" looks like the mutant love child of Pee-wee Herman and Annie Lennox. Which pretty much means it just looks like Annie Lennox. Sweet dreams are not made of ...

The Kato Cup
Canis Hoopus — It was a fun night in Mankato last night.  The Wolves scrimmaged in front of about 2000 fans at Minnesota State's Bresnan Areana at Taylor Center.  I went to the game with my oldest daughter and we had some nice seats about 6 rows up behind the bucket.  We Twittered the game here. A few thoughts: It's easy to not notice on TV, but close up from what would be the high-roller seats it's impossible to ignore just what an amazingly high-contact sport NBA basketball is.  Some of the screens and rebounds (in a scrimmage, mind you) looked like they could have taken place on a football field.  It's also impressive ...
