Corey Hart Gets All Star Bid, Daughter Gets A Beer Bath
Corey Hart Gets All Star Bid, Daughter Gets A Beer Bath
I'm all for celebrating someone's accomplishments. Well except when someone has their infant daughter in his hands at a press conference and the rest of the team runs in the room and sprays him (and the baby) with beer.... Yeah that probably seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm going to guess that they're going to take some heat for that one. That kid is sure going to be traumatized ...

Corey Hart And Daughter Get Doused With Beer By Brewers Teammates
FanIQ Blog — ... off to someone not toting a brew. However, the Brewers don't roll like that, son. They charged right into the middle of Hart's TV interview to douse both him and his daughter with liquid refreshments. Cedric Benson totally approves. By the way, I fully expect the Brew Crew to get lambasted for this. Which is fine by me. If this incident somehow gets Ned Yost fired it absolutely will have been worth scarring a young girl for life. [HT: Awful Announcing]

Shanoff's Wake-Up Call: All-Stars, Favre, More
The Sporting Blog — ... , for two reasons: (1) "New York" does not, in and of itself, matter to fans -- contrary to media conventional wisdom. How refreshing. To win the NL spot, Milwaukee's Corey Hart defied what I could have sworn was a lock for New York hometown hero David Wright. (The best part was when Hart's teammates rushed in on his vote-winning press conference to give him a beer shower -- not realizing, or caring, he had his toddler daughter on his lap.) The Mets totally blew the p.r. game: Energizing fans with clever promotions is entirely how these Final Votes are won. (2) Fans ...

Brewers celebrate All-Star with beer shower of 2-year-old
Big League StewWATCH THE VIDEO HERE If you always suspected the fine people of Wisconsin bathed their children in Miller Lite but could never exactly prove it, here's your evidence. On Thursday, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Corey Hart learned he had been selected to the National League All-Star team by way of eight million votes in MLB's vote-in. Later, as he discussed the honor at a press conference while holding his daughter in his lap, his teammates broke through the door with aims of giving Hart the traditional ...

Hart’s 2-Yr-Old Daughter Gets Caught In Beer Bath
SPORTSbyBROOKS — ... The precious pigtailed cutie in Hart’s lap is the outfielder’s little girl, Ryleigh . Corey was chatting with a few members of the media when word came down that he was heading for Yankee Stadium. All of the sudden, a dozen boys of the Brew Crew came charging in with beer bottles at the ready. (Video of the sudsy celebration is after the jump.) ( A toast to AWFUL ANNOUNCING for pitching up the clip ) And poor Ryleigh was caught in the middle. But Daddy did the best he could to protect his precocious young’un. ...

Corey Hart Gets All Star Bid, Daughter Gets A Beer Bath
The Slanch Report — ... deciding to invade his press conference and shower him with beer. It’s a totally awesome gesture and shows how genuinely excited and happy for him his teammates are, but they clearly didn’t think about that he was holding his infant daughter. Oops! I assume she’s fine, but if as she becomes a teenager she starts dancing on tables and begging men to spray her with champagne and beer we’ll know exactly where that desire came from. Champagne Shower? Not in Milwaukee.
Chuckie Hacks — ... will be up in arms about the Brewers' decision to shower Hart with beer during the press conference while holding his 2-year-old daughter. Oh, the humanity! Relax - it's not like they were sprinkling her with cocaine (that would have been the 80's way to celebrate). It was beer. Probably Miller Lite. Big deal. It's just a good thing the Cardinals weren't in town for the series - they probably would have busted into the Brewers locker room and stole all the booze. Video found at Awful Announcing .

Corey Hart gets a beer bath and his daughter gets traumatized
Hail Mary Jane — ... After Corey Hart got his All Star bid, his teammates thought that it would be a good idea to ambush him during his press conference with bottles of beer. Seemed like a good idea but with his daughter in his arms, it means she will be scarred for life… :-\ Team celebrations are a great thing. I’ve seen some pretty cool ones over the years but this one is unique in the fact that it involved Corey Hart’s infant daughter. Thanks to AA for this one. Tags: corey hart, beer bath, infant ...
