The San Diego Padres have acquired right-handed pitcher Bryan Corey from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Corey, who was outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket on April 30, has posted a 10.50 ERA (7 ER/6.0 IP) in seven relief appearances over two stints with the Red Sox this season. Alex Cora was activated and is in tonight's lineup, Jed Lowrie was sent to Pawtucket to make room. Casey has not been activated yet so Hansen is still with the team. ...
