Could Favre end up in Miami?
Ugh! I've said it before and I'll say it now in a more definitive way: Brett Favre makes no sense for the Dolphins.  Can anyone give me one good reason why the Dolphins should go after Favre?  All he would do is prevent the Dolphins from attempting to solve their long-term QB issues.  By the time this team is good enough to really make a run at things, Favre will be in his ... Seeking Release, Favre Could End Up in AFC East
Published 7/12/2008 by Brian Galliford at Buffalo Rumblings
... Think about the long-term ramifications that bringing Favre in would have on that franchise.  (Matty I of The Phinsider clearly has, because he's vehemently against the idea as well.)  The Dolphins have a stop-gap at quarterback - again - and their two young "of the future" quarterbacks, John Beck and Chad Henne, are made to wait - again.  Favre doesn't help out his understudies, either, further stunting the growth of whichever quarterback takes over for Miami.  The Dolphins maybe push .500 this season (because their defense is still pretty bad, ...

A WILD-CARD IN THE FAVRE STORY

Something occured to me while chatting with our friends at Big Sports 590 in Omaha a little bit ago. If Brett Favre returns to the Packers, and if the Packers take him back, do the Packers suddenly become the favorites to land Dolphins defensive end ...

Favre Situation Scarcely Close To Marino’s
Many fans are tired of hearing the name Brett Favre , but you know what, I’m not. The truth is that we are not talking about Michael Vick or some other classless jerk. We are talking about a QB who owns a ton of NFL records and has exuded class at every turn. Now, his situation in Green Bay is growing not only ugly, but is beginning to resemble the retirement of Dan Marino .  ...
Tanner Says: “Let Favre Play”
The second I learned of the rumor that Brett Favre was thinking of coming back and then proceeded to read how many NFL fans wanted the record breaking QB to stay gone, all I could think of was that little cocky mouthed 2nd baseman from the Bad News Bears …not that remake, the original. Tanner was his name. He ran around the Astrodome and inspired the crowd to chant the words ...
NFL Held Hostage by Brett Favre: Day Six
Baseless Brett Favre Rumor Department: It is being speculated around the league that the Miami Dolphins are working to pull off a trade with the Green Bay Packers. Disgruntled Jason Taylor for disgruntled Brett Favre. And based on other ‘reporting’ from around the web (Hi, Pro Football Talk), if the Dolphins deny the rumor, then it must be true. Greg Cote of the Miami Herald already is thinking about Favre in a Dolphins uniform... "Brett Favre seems like he wants to parachute back into the NFL. Where Will Favre Land
I’m sure we’ve all been following the Brett Favre saga coming out of Green Bay this past week. Well Saturday morning the Packers basically went on the record with the Associated Press saying they have moved on from the Brett Favre era. If he is to comeback to Green Bay it will only be as the back up to Aaron Rodgers. The team would have welcomed Favre back a few months ago but ...
Packers Welcome Brett...kind of
A day after the legend asked for his unconditional release, the Packers have released a statement. The Packers say that Brett is welcome to rejoin the team. If this seems too good to be true, that is because it is. They welcomed Brett back today under the condition that he is Aaron Rodger's back-up. The Packers are not willing to discuss his situation at this point other than that he is ...
PACKERS CAN’T LIMIT FAVRE’S OPTIONS
As we continue to ponder the most compelling personnel predicament that arguably any team has faced in NFL history (we challenge you to come up with a thornier problem that any team has faced), we had a thought. What if the Packers release Favre with the understanding that he won’t sign with another team in the NFC [...]
