Though Ryan Garko suits up at first base for the Tribe, it is no secret that the 27-year old slugger was drafted as a catcher out of Stanford, and even donned the gear in the minor leagues. Given the hamstring injury to Victor Martinez, Garko got to see a little action behind the plate yesterday. [link]

Tribe pitcher Fausto Carmona was sharp as ever, striking out 4 and inducing 3 double plays in his 7 innings of work. One fly ball left the infield, and that was caught. The White Sox scored one run off young Fausto, who was simply dominating. The offense wasn’t so bad either.
