Knicks Making Strong Push to Land Mike D'Antoni

... with the Phoenix Suns? OK, that's what I thought.
Earlier this week, Marc Stein, the Chris Mortensen of the NBA, said it was basically a done deal that D'Antoni would be headed to the Bulls. He likes the Bulls and GM John Paxson has a mutual interest but there appears to be some differences in finances.
Paxson is also appropriately concerned over the team's strategy. He's a defense guy, clearly D'Antoni is not.
While Pax mulls his decision, it appears the Knicks are set to provide the Suns coach an impre$$ive offer.
