New York Yankees Fan Blog — ... waiting 8 days, it may have been good for Hughes to throw more than 11 pitches. That being said, he looked great and it seemed he was putting a little extra on his pitches as his breaking stuff looked to have more bite and his fastball reached 95 MPH. Given the two choices, I still believe having Hughes be in the bullpen and gain experience against big league batters is preferable to him starting at Scranton, where he has nothing left to prove. I just hope that Hughes doesn't become the next Joba Chamberlain debate. Like Chamberlain, Hughes' long-term value is in starting. ...
