Sam Weinman of Rangers Report, While Shanahan’s agent, Rick Curran, told me just now that the door with the Rangers hasn’t been closed, he also said there remains considerable interest from teams around the league, including “a couple of general managers that would raise a few eyebrows.” One of those teams is presumably the Detroit Red Wings, where Shanahan spent nine seasons before signing with New York. read on
