Ever since the downtrodden times that gave the Penguins the opportunities to draft Marc-Andre Fleury #1 overall, Evgeni Malkin #2 overall, Sidney Crosby #1 overall and finally Jordan Staal #2 overall, the belief among the so-called “experts” was that the Pens would never be able to keep all of them.
