In a far less significant deal than the one being currently discussed with the Florida Marlins, the Detroit Tigers are talking to the Colorado Rockies about swapping right-handed relievers. According to the Freep's Jon Paul Morosi, Jose Capellan would go to Colorado, with Denny Bautista coming to Detroit in return. Capellan was a disaster for the Tigers after coming over from the Milwaukee Brewers. In 10 appearances for Detroit, he posted an 0-1 record and 6.43 ERA in 14 innings.
