... do with the competition at all. I didn’t even know there was a show.” How about someone in the press corps do their job and call Dana on being a fucking liar? I couldn’t care less that he counter-programs shit … hell, that’s his job. But for people to sit in the press conferences and let him get away with pretending he’s not doing it kinda sickens me. Grow some balls, people. So where was I? Oh yeah. Rather than blow some money on creating a new special, the UFC has decided instead to just show UFC 84 (featuring Sherk vs Penn, Ortiz vs Machida, and Silva vs Jardine) again. ...

Spike TV will be running it all night, beginning at 9 pm EST, to be preceded at 4 pm by a rebroadcast of the Silva vs. Irvin Fight Night from a week before, just in time to match main events with the Showtime portion of the Elite XC card, which begins at 8 pm. ...

UFC 84 to air during CBS Saturday Night Fights
Published 7/9/2008 by Michael Huckaby at Five Ounces of Pain
MMAmania is reporting that SpikeTV will air UFC 84: Ill Will ( Penn vs Sherk ) at the same time CBS runs their second installment of Saturday Night Fights ( Lawler vs Smith II) on July 26th.
