nonoonan.jpg According to this  report  the Columbus Crew were set to capture former New England Revolution striker from Norwegian side Aalesund, but had the deal turned down by Major League Soccer. New England still holds Noonan’s rights, so the Crew were prepared to offer $225,000 to New England, but MLS thought that was too much. MLS felt the Crew would be overpaying New England and turned the deal down. Noonan was interested in returning to MLS in an effort to re-ignite his international career. ... since signing. However, it doesn't look like the transfer is going through, reports out of Columbus say the deal has been kiboshed by MLS, as they feel the transfer fee is too exorbitant. MLS holds the rights to do this, due to the league's single-entity status, so despite the Crew having agreed to a fee, and working out a deal with the Revolution, it looks like Noonan will be stuck in Norway for the forseeable future.
